At the Yakama Empowerment Project, we are a student-led initiative committed to uplifting Native American communities through education and opportunity. Our journey began with volunteering efforts and book donations, and it has since grown into a broader mission to address systemic inequities in educational and economic access on tribal lands.

We partner with local schools, libraries, and organizations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Youth Ambassador to host book drives and awareness events.
